Chapter 1.4

     "God I never wanna share a house with such pigs again." Jaessana grumbled while trying to clean the caked on grease from the stove.  Everado was usually the one that cleaned house, being a neat freak and all, but he was at the gym again and the smell coming from the kitchen was beginning to bother her.

     She was in the bathroom cleaning when Everado finally made it home that night.
     "I was gonna get to that tomorrow," he said when he found her.
     "It's not your job to clean up after these slobs," Jaessana replied getting up.  "Welcome home," she said kissing him.
     "Mmm.  I like these welcomes of yours," he said kissing back.

     "There are no such things as dinosaurs.  It's a hoax the Sim government is playing on all the unsuspecting sims."
     Jaessana didn't really know or care if dinosaurs were real or not but Carol had bet that she couldn't get other sims at the university to join in the rally.  Jaessana thought she could do it, so here she was standing around carrying a sign with the picture of a dinosaur on it.

     By the time the rally was in full swing she had a good following participating.  Jaessana was happiest that Everado was here somewhere in this crowd.  She tried looking over the heads from the podium but she couldn't see him right now.

     "That was a great protest, but why not hold the next one as a protest against being out of shape."
     "What makes you think there is gonna be a next one?" Jaessana asked.
     "Jae, I know you.  You can't leave anything half done.  That was your first rally of course there are gonna be more."  Everado stared at her.
     The lifted eyebrow implied a "duh" in there somewhere.  Jaessana smiled, "Ok, so I was thinking of doing another.  What about a rally protesting the tragic clown.  I mean who's to say he's really tragic.  I think we are projecting our own fears onto the clown and there really shouldn't be anything to fear."
     Everado chuckled, "Ok so why do fear the clown?"

     As she was getting ready to leave for class the next day, Jaessana stopped when she heard an electronic shriek.  Running into the kitchen she found the stove and half the kitchen on fire.  One of her idiot dorm-mates had left food cooking on the stove.
     "Fire," she screamed and ran to dial the fire department.  They came with sirens blaring and put out the fire.  They left with a warning not to leave things on the stove.
     As if I don't know better than to leave food unattended, she thought as she left the dorm to get to her class, late of course.

     "The kitchen was on fire and no one else was home," she told Everado later that evening as they were playing a game of billiards.
     "Sweetheart it's fine, we're leaving in the morning to go back to Isla Paridiso."
     "Not if we're killed in our sleep because of their idiocy," she raged.  "I'm saying I don't ever want to share a place with strangers again."
     "Ok. So next term we just rent a house somewhere."
     "You don't think I'm being cranky about it."
     "Well after nearly dying in a fire I think it's fair to be cranky about this."
     "Haha," she said rolling her eyes and taking her shot.


                                                                                                                                                                   
Random Ramblings

Yeah first semester/term done, fist pump.  Jaessana started with a partial scholarship so she only needs 6 more units for her degree, could of got it in one if I loaded her down with three classes.  Everado started without.  They both took a two class load so Everado is halfway towards done.  Both ended with an A, brushes shoulders.  Yeah so I'm uber-obsessed with "perfect" grades hopefully next time I try the college run I can go the party route.  They had tons of invites to parties that I turned down.  Jaessana ended the term with a rebel reputation of 7 (out of 10) so yeah I was pretty into the whole rebel thing.  She held one more protest this term and both were huge successes.  It was certainly amusing.

Oh and the fire thing pretty much happened exactly in the story.  No...one...was...home.  and it happened not once but twice.  So yeah if we get back here definitely going for the home outside of the dorms.  

Chapter 1.3

     The next morning Jaessana got caught up in the rush of students trying to get to class outside the Arts College.  Never again, she thinks to herself, I never want to go through this crunch again.  Maybe I can talk to the professor?

     After the lectures finally let out Jaessana went across to the University Quad to relax before returning to the dorms.  Everado had said he would be going to the gym every night so there was no reason for her to hurry back.

     "Hey, Jaessana."

     Jaessana turned to see who called her name and saw her classmate Chloe coming across the quad.

     "Hi, Chloe how are you?"

     "I'm good. How's your project for the professor coming? I'm almost finished with mine."

     "I just have a bit more to do.  I should be done before we have the class gallery during the final."

     "Oh no," Chloe said ducking down a little to hide behind Jaesanna.

     "Chloe what are you doing?" Jaessana asked.

     "My ex is here.  I don't want him to see me."

     "Hold on a moment while I go introduce myself."

     "Wait, wait, Jaessana," Chloe hissed trying to grab the back of Jaessana's shirt.

     Jaessana wiggled out of Chloe's grasp then marched over to the jerk that had dumped Chloe the night before.  Pulling out her megaphone Jaessana turned the volume up loud then yelled into it.

     "Hi there. I'm Jaessana and you are?"

     The guy quickly clapped his hands to his ringing ears and before he could respond Jaesanna turned around and walked back to Chloe who was trying to pretend she didn't see a thing.

     "I can't believe you just did that."

     Jaessana shrugged, "He deserved it."

     Seeing Everado come over, Jaessana smiled to herself.  She quickly pulled out a box to stand on and stepped on top of it and waved Everado over.  Everado walked over to see what Jaessana wanted.

     Pulling out her megaphone again she dialed down the volume before speaking.

     "Hey everybody, I just wanted to say I am in love with the hottest, sweetest and most wonderful sim in all simverse."

     "That's my line," Everado said before pulling Jaessana into a kiss.

     The following night was Carol's party.  Jaessana and Everado decided to go and see what it would be like.  They talked and smoozed the night away but didn't see each other most of the night.  Everado was pulled away at the door by Carol to be introduced around and Jaessana hung out with Chloe.

     At the end of the evening they left together, laughing about the party and generally happy about having gone.

     The next morning Jaessana pulled out the bag Carol had passed to her the night before as she was leaving.  Looking inside she found an assortment of spray paints and tape.  She smiled. I can do something with this, she thought and proceeded to mark up the walls and floors in preparation for her painting.

     After finishing her project Jaessana stopped to examine it.  She decided she didn't like it.  She scrubbed the paint off the walls before beginning again.

     Everado arrived home as she was beginning a mural on the ground.

     "Jae? What are you doing" Everado asked.

     "Street art."

     "Why are you doing street art in the dorm?"

     "Because if I did it on the street I could be arrested.  Don't worry I'll clean it up when I'm finished."

     "Ok," he said before going into the dorm gym to continue working out.

                                                                                                                                                                   

Random Ramblings

  So I was going through my screenshots when I found this and I couldn't resist.

   "What are you doing?"
     "Improving my photography skills."
     "You're checking out my ass aren't you?"
     "Guilty as charged and lovin' it"

I don't know yet if Everado really is the horndog I make him sound in that outtake but it was too funny.  
  Right now I'm strolling along through Uni.  Got through the first week.  Jae is really working on a rebel reputation from all the street art I have her do as school "assignment's".  I just thought it was fun and since she was getting school credit for it she went through ten or twenty different tags and murals. Everado is of course working out  and studying like crazy. They both made it to the deans list, Yay.

Chapter 1.2

     "Jae, are you ready to go to University yet?"
     "One more stroke and I'll be done," Jaessana said absently as she put the last touch on her painting.  "Ok," she said putting down her brush, "what were you asking?"

      "I was asking if you were ready for University," Everado laughed taking Jaessana's hands.
      "I hope I am.  It will be a little awkward if I'm not since we're already here." Jaessana laughed.

     There was a student meet and greet at the student union building so after dropping off their bags in their shared dorm room they headed over there.  At the entrance to the building Jaessana met Carol Chen, someone in the know of the rebel crowd.

     While she was talking with Carol at the front of the building Everado went inside.  He explore the information booths and picked up a freebie candy.  Wandering upstairs he was challenged to a game of table tennis with Professor Madeleine Noetal.

     "I'm in the Fine Arts program here.  Do you have any advice about which professors to get or classes to take?" Jaessana asked Carol.
     "Go to your lectures they help the most come finals.  Take the after class workshops if you have the time but don't stress them.  You can probably get more done on your own."
     "Thanks."
     "No problem.  Hey, I'm having a party later in the week.  It's kind of a formal thing.  The prof I'm rooming with got some promotion or other, but anyways if you're up to it you should stop by."
     "I'll try to do that," Jaessana said.  Seeing Everado exit the building she said her goodbyes with Carol and returned to the dorms with Everado.

     "So how was that meet and greet," Everado asked later that night in bed.
     "It was interesting. I met a couple of students in my major, some are even my classmates.  Did you know the School of Art will pay you to model nude?"
     "No way."
     "I'm not kidding.  And the School of Science is looking for donations of giggles and saliva.  What do you think they do with them?"
     "No idea.  Run the city on laughter," Everado joked.
     "Oh haha. What a riot," Jaessana deadpanned.  After they just lay in bed drifting towards sleep when a thought occurred to Jaessana.
     "You know, my dad would so kill you if he knew we were woohooing," Jaessana giggled as he cuddled up to her.
     "I guess it's a good thing he's not here then," Everado replied.  Jaessana laughed outright before kissing him and going to sleep.

      "You know it would be faster to grab a bowl of cereal." Everado called from the dining room where he was eating just that.
      "But not nearly as healthy," Jaessana replied as she pulled some ingredients to cook form the fridge, "and unlike you, my classes don't start until ten.  I have the time now and there will be leftovers for later."
     "If our dorm-mates don't eat it first."

      Her first class was supposed to be some kind of nature study.  The students were to go out and draw pictures of plants found around the community.  Jaessana thought it was a little interesting, she had never sketched before as she preferred to paint, she just wished her classmates would shut up and do their own projects.  Or at least go talk somewhere else.

     Jae was already home and cooking dinner when Everado returned that night.
     "Hey not to sound shrewish or stalker-ish, but had a late night?" she asked setting down the plate of tofu dogs.
     "Not too stalkerish," Everado said kissing her cheek, " I went to the gym with some classmates to workout and prepare for finals at the end of the week.  For some reason the professor thinks that a physical exam is the best way to grade us, so the more weight we can bench press the better our grade."
     "That's the Physical Education program for you."

     "How was your day?" Everado asked.
     "God, I hope she's not pregnant.  I don't need a brat now, I'm a hot college stud."  He mumbled to himself.
     "Good.  I spent the day sketching a charred tree we have in a park near here for a class assignment," Jaessana responded ignoring their dorm-mate.  I just have to put a few last touches on before class tomorrow."
     "That's great," Everado followed her lead and replied as he finished his dog.




                                                                                                                                                  
More Random Ramblings

  So, yeah I sent them to Uni.  I really don't do much with any of the expansions so I thought...Why not? I never actually had a sim finish a degree either.  Eh so uneducated -_-  Hopefully they can do it.

  I'm not sure about the length of the chapter should it be longer? shorter? more text, less text?  Feedback is welcome.  I wasn't sure how much to write so I figured around ten pics is a good length. Especially for me.

Chapter 1.1

     This is the Drimagard house.  It's on a quaint little chain of islands called Isla Paradiso.   I've lived here all my life.  Not much has changed since my dad, Pops, Nana and I moved in.  Dad added parking in front of the house and left the glowing future door open.  At first I only had a crib in the nursery and that was fine, I was a toddler after all, but we fixed up the bedrooms once I aged up to a child.

 

      That's me. My name is Jaessana Drimagard, but Pops always called me his Jaybird.  I'm a two day Young Adult.  If you can't tell from the picture I like to paint.  I'm actually registered at City Hall as a self-employed painter.  Dad had hoped I would follow him into the medical field.  Make it the "family business" ya know?

     That's my dad, Alfans Drimagard.
     What with a name like Jaessana did you expect him to be called John? or Joe?   He's a doctor at El Hospital, though he's not yet at the top of his field, he's fighting everyday to get there.  He's only got two more promotions left before he is recognized as the best.

     Both Pops, my grandfather, and Nana, my grandmother, have passed away.
     The urn in the middle was Tiger Cat.  We adopted him after we moved here.  His mate Cleo Cat was adopted later and the two of them had Cinnamon Cat.  Can you guess who is who?

     Cleo is the one on the left and Cinnamon is on the right.  Did you get it right?

     Cinnamon has her dad's coloring but her mom's looks.  I mean it, she really looks like her mom.

     This is my step-mom Persephone Drimagard and my brother, Kiran, and sister, Andromeda.  Persephone moved in and married my dad just before I grew up to Child.  She's the only mom I've ever known but I still don't call her mom.  We're not close like that.

     My dad was younger than Persephone once but he had an accident while traveling to the future.  He went too close to his Adult birthday.  He had a birthday in the future then, when he came back, he aged up again and became an Elder.

     It kinda sucks that we won't have him with us for as long as we should have, but that's Sim life.  I think this is the reason Dromy was born.  Persephone was kinda scared of my dad's sudden age up and trying to avoid thinking about the inevitable.  But she's still a cutie.

     This is my boyfriend Everado Ichtaca. We're childhood friends turned high school sweethearts.  He moved into my family's house after my age up to Young Adult.

     Since I won't inherit Dad wants him to take over at the hospital.  Marry into the family, take the family name and all that yada yada.

     Everado likes gardening though.  He's registered with the city as a self employed gardener.  He's not making any money with it right now since my family had no garden to speak of before he moved in, but he's happy to get dirty and start up his own garden.

                                                                                                                                                  
Random Rambling

  So this space will be reserved at the end of every chapter for my random ramblings, probably.  If you don't want to read this don't.  Feel free to move on to the next chapters (when they're available). I'm hoping to post chapter two next week. Already got screenshots just need to figure out how to write the story.

  This is just meant to be an intro chapter.  Used to introduce my main character and her family, and hopefully some of their family dynamics.  I'm gonna try to stick to interpretations of actual in game events like the acquaintance status Persephone and Jaessana have maintained for almost a full three Sim weeks.  They just don't interact with each other and my interpretation is Jaessana is a grandpas girl, she spent all her time outside of school with him and he essentially raised her as a toddler. They were pretty much best friends from day one until he passed away.  When he comes back to haunt the house they are still best friends and I try to make sure they interact at least once to maintain that status.

 I started this file with the intention just to explore the features of the new Into the Future expansion pack.  I didn't really think I would play more than a  generation or two (I can't seem to get past 1.5 generations- the founders and the first generation born in game.)

  So I'm using this blog as a motivation to keep the family going.  I'm not following any challenge rules.  I'm just having fun and coming up with a story as I go along.  If anyone who reads this (if anyone reads it) knows the Random Legacy Challenge ( and if anyone reads this I will try to figure out how to post a link to it, I think it's fun and want to try it once in my future, again past generation 1.5) they might recognize certain family structures, non-traditional careers, generational goals- if I try to follow one, or miscellaneous fun characteristics.  But this is not a Randomacy. If I use any of it it's just to keep me from getting monotanous with a couple and children every generation

  That's just too perfect and boring story-wise (and probably why I stop after a generation or two).

  This is my first attempt to blog a Sims story so hopefully screenshots and all that will get better.  Please bear with me in the meantime (if anyone is there-hello? lo? lo? lo? Echo! cho! cho! cho!)  I don't have any mods or things like that installed right now. I'm hoping to get the experience to start a couple more blogs, crosses-fingers, that might require such but not now.
